This five-day intensive boot-camp course is designed to give you the best possible chance of passing the ASIS PSP® exam.
Physical security assessments, designs, applications, implementations, and integrations—the Physical Security Professional (PSP®) certification shows your mastery of these key areas. It enhances career opportunities by demonstrating knowledge and experience of threat assessment and risk analysis; integrated physical security systems; and the appropriate identification, implementation and ongoing evaluation of security measures. By earning the PSP®, you’ll have the knowledge to stay ahead of physical security threats and safeguard your organisation.
ASIS PSP® is a Board certification, which is recognised across the world. When you pass your exam, you can use the post-nominals ‘PSP’ after your name, for example ‘Kate Smith PSP.’
The PSP® exam consists of 125 scored and 15 unscored multiple-choice questions. Supported by your study resources which you need to purchase before the course begins, and your tutor, this bootcamp aids your preparation with complete mock exams, assessing your understanding of the materials and highlighting areas for further study.
Note: the ASIS exams are experience-based therefore, you will need to apply your own experience to answer the questions correctly. Please don’t attempt to memorise the reference sets.

About the Exam
To gain the post-nominals ‘PSP’, you must sit and pass the exam, which is taken at a Prometric test centre.
The PSP® exam consists of 125 scored and 15 unscored multiple-choice questions on three domains identified by physical security professionals as the key categories of physical security management.
The exam fee is not included in this training package.
You are responsible for booking your exam and sourcing copies of the ASIS learning materials: ‘Protection of Assets: Physical Security’, ‘Implementing Physical Protection Systems: A Practical Guide, 3rd Ed’, ‘ASIS Business Continuity Guideline: A Practical Approach’ and ‘ASIS Physical Asset Protection Standard’. You can purchase these directly from ASIS International.

Eligibility Criteria
The Physical Security Professional certification is designed for individuals with three to five years of security experience, depending on education.
Additional requirements include:
- Full-time employment in a security-related role
- Have not been convicted of any criminal offense that would reflect negatively on the security profession, ASIS, or the certification program
- Willingness to sign and agree to abide by the ASIS Certification Code of Conduct
- Willingness to agree to abide by the policies of the ASIS Certification programs as outlined in the Certification Handbook

- Implementing Physical Protection Systems: A Practical Guide, 3nd Ed
- ASIS Business Continuity Guideline: A Practical Approach, and
- ASIS Physical Asset Protection Standard

You will need these texts as far in advance of the course as possible to familiarise yourself and refer to them when attempting the supplementary online material prior to the course.
As part of this course, you will be given access to the PSP® supplementary online material. This will assist you in familiarising yourself with the reference materials and terminology covered in the exam, plus give you opportunities to undertake test exercises prior to the course.
Study Format
Pre-course: Upon registering your place, you will have access to the online learning platform, which hosts the study materials.
There are five modules, each relating to core content from the ASIS PSP reference materials.
Days one and two: explanation of the timetable of study and approach required from learners, followed by familiarisation with the learning domains and study materials.
Days three and four: explanation and discussion of the different domains, followed by consolidation and testing of learners’ knowledge to identify where further personal revision should be focused.
Day five: completion of mock exams followed by feedback and discussion.
