John Murphy

John has over 40 years’ experience of national level risk management, having assessed risks and taken mitigating action to safeguard UK interests abroad and in the UK. He has worked in the Middle East and Pakistan managing preparation and prevention risk activities, which necessitated a full understanding of the impact upon UK interests and international partners. He has also worked for a major oil company advising on commercial risk management. As a skilled trainer, he has trained and developed colleagues and Middle East officials in all aspects of risk awareness and management work and mentored senior Middle East officials in safe and secure business operations while advising on the consequences of political risk.
